Lead R&D initiatives to develop new products, features, and automation solutions. Oversee feasibility studies, prototyping, testing, and validation of new technologies. Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in automation, machine vision, robotics, and industrial AI applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, production, and quality) to ensure seamless integration of new solutions into production. Manage the full software development life cycle (SDLC) from requirements gathering to deployment and support. Oversee the development of software applications, machine vision systems, and control platforms for automation projects. Ensure coding standards, software architecture, and best practices are followed. Monitor project progress, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful delivery. Evaluate and adopt new tools, frameworks, and technologies to enhance development efficiency. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers and R&D specialists. Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor performance to meet project milestones. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability. Prepare technical reports, proposals, and documentation for internal and customer use. Liaise with clients, suppliers, and external partners to align software/R&D efforts with business requirements.

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related field. 6-10 years of relevant experience in software development and/or R&D, with at least 3 years in a managerial or lead role. Strong background in industrial automation, robotics, control systems, or machine vision (preferred). Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, C#, Python, or Java. Experience with PLC programming, SCADA systems, databases, or real-time control software is an advantage. Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and project management. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to balance technical and managerial responsibilities effectively.

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
