Job Summary
The Receiving Inspector is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of all incoming materials and products, ensuring they meet the specified standards and specifications.
Job Responsibilities
Day to day management of Receiving Inspector activities. This would include (but not be limited to):

• Receive and inspect incoming aircraft parts, components, and materials to ensure they meet the required specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform detailed visual inspections and measurements to verify the condition, quality, and conformity of received items.
• Check documentation, including traceability documents, inspection reports, and shipping documents, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure that all incoming aircraft parts and materials comply with relevant regulatory requirements, such as those set forth by FAA, EASA, CAAM or other aviation authorities.
• Verify that items conform to applicable industry standards, specifications, and manufacturer's requirements, such as those established by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) or approved vendors.
• Identify and report any discrepancies, non-conformities, or quality issues discovered during the inspection process, and take appropriate corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain accurate records for quarantine parts and materials.
• Maintain accurate records of all incoming inspections, including inspection results, findings, and any associated documentation.
• Maintain and control the shelf life materials and generate monthly reports.
• Document all discrepancies, non-conformities, or rejected items, and ensure proper documentation is completed for disposition or return to the supplier/customer.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including procurement personnel, customer service, quality assurance inspectors, maintenance technicians and manufacturing engineers, to facilitate the timely processing and disposition of incoming items.
• Prepare and attend internal/external audits on Receiving Process.
• Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and other external parties to resolve issues related to incoming shipments, quality concerns, or documentation discrepancies.
• Provide guidance and support to other team members regarding inspection procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency, effectiveness, and reliability of the receiving inspection process.
• Provide feedback and recommendations for process improvements, procedural updates, or training needs based on observations and experiences in the role.

The Receiving Inspector will be responsible for the following:

• Ensure the parts and materials received meet the required specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness in data and documents received and entered into the system.
• High-level integrity in performing the task assigned.
• Ensure the process/materials/parts fit for internal/external audit and eliminate non-conformity.
• Receiving Inspector plays a vital role in ensuring the quality, safety, and airworthiness of aircraft parts and materials received by the organization, thereby contributing to the overall reliability and integrity of the aviation operation

Job Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent qualification is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the aviation industry, preferably in a maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility or aerospace manufacturing environment.
• Basic knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to identify and document discrepancies, non-conformities, and quality issues with precision.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and identify practical solutions.
• Ability to work alone and unsupervised and as part of a team.
• Knowledge in SAP is added advantage.
• Knowledge/experience in Dangerous Goods handling.
• Additional certifications or training in quality management, inspection techniques, or aviation maintenance would be advantageous.
• Familiarity with specific aircraft types or systems may also be beneficial.
