Job Description

As the Regional Assistant Financial Controller, you will be expected to provide Financial Reporting support to GSK\'s Emerging Markets region. In this role you will support the Regional Financial Controller, and report on a regular basis to facilitate managerial decisions. Your focus will be financial statements preparation with the assigned markets, gathering financial forecasting information from a variety of sources/systems, within the timetable and in the forms required by Corporate guidelines.

Provide continuous support to the Regional Financial Controller and Regional VP Finance in consolidating and analysing the financial performance of Emerging Markets Region, which include multiple markets in which GSK operates

Contribute to the reporting of financial results for the Region under responsibility with commentary including income, balance sheet and cash flow;

Perform variance analysis for Balance Sheet, Operating expenses, Margins and Profitability, review financial information against historical run rates and future growth plans.

Participate & contribute into business reviews meetings as appropriate

Manage Regional HQ Operating Expenditure and all reporting requirements (including OE & Headcount Reporting).

Ensure entities results are fully compliant with all relevant accounting standards, current best practice, and any other regulations

Tightly control transaction activity that operates in line with global processes and incorporates best practice financial controls

Delivers insight to the Division in key areas of risk, growth and performance making recommendations for continuous improvements and remedial action as required

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

Accounting degree or qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)

5+ years experience in Finance Controlling

Experience of working with SOX

Experience of working with SAP

Fluent English

Excellent communication and organization skills

Developed analytical skills

Outside of the box thinking and problem-solving skills
