The primary role of the Regional Commercial Portfolio Excellence Manager is to secure the long-term competitiveness of the core Asia portfolio by ensuring that all decisions around Innovation, cost- & quality management, and regulatory adherence are underpinned by sound commercial assumptions. The role reports to the APAC PMO Lead. The Commercial Portfolio Excellence Manager:
- Supports the design and implementation of the Asia strategic portfolio architecture and strategy together with Regional Marketing and Asia Countries
- Defines X-category cost & quality and portfolio complexity reduction opportunities together with regional Marketing and R&D
- Plays a pivotal role in defining and maintaining the APAC commercial portfolio menu cards in alignment with the Global Process Excellence Manager
- Manages the establishment of the Region Innovation & Growth 36M Plan and Value Optimisation Outlook (12M plan) in alignment with Regional & Local Marketing, the Global Portfolio & Program Director
- Drives the embedding of Innovation Delivery Excellence: innovation playbook and I4G/A4E process understanding in alignment with the Global PMO Excellence Manager.
- Supports the designs and implementation of the Asia strategic portfolio architecture and strategy.
- Runs commercial impact assessments in cases of portfolio changes and ensures that portfolio decisions are based on sound business assumptions (addressing implications regarding P&L, price competitiveness, etc.)
- Runs yearly portfolio health checks and identifies growth, cost, quality and simplification opportunities to enable commercial growth
- Develops a portfolio Roadmap for Implementation and tracks progress against this
- Initiates and drives regular Menu Card health checks in alignment with regional Marketing and R&D and initiates and drives actions to adapt when relevant.
- Ensures strong menu card awareness and usage in the Region
- Supports the execution of Regional 36M Plan for Innovation & Growth and supports Outlook plan for other business programs in the Region.
- Drives and executes the Asia training calendar and conducts regular I4G/A4E process training to support the development of delivery excellence capabilities & skills across the functions
- Drives and Executes the Innovation Excellence Program in the Region
Qualifications
Qualifications
- University Degree or thinking level, preferably in food or business management
- Project & Process management experience
- Business development experience or affinity
- Value Optimization/Productivity delivery experience
- Portfolio Management and simplification experience
- Continuous Improvement Experience
- Manufacturing Experience
- Broad understanding of Finance, Marketing, R&D, Operations, Sales
- A minimum of 10-15 years of relevant experience in Innovation and/or relevant business delivery preferably in the FMCG;
- Work experience in ASIA
