Job Purpose

This position locates in Kuala Lumpur and focus on China first, meanwhile cover all APAC region.

The Regional Demand Planning Manager is responsible to analyze, challenge and align country sales forecasts, prepare regional demand plans in alignment/agreement with the country organizations, and to maintain regional demand plans in ANAPLAN for global consolidation.

The Regional Demand Planning Manager will establish & maintain communication flow with commercial organizations, finance, and operations to ensure that market sales/demands are consistent and balanced with local supply to meet customer requirements and in line with overall global business strategy and financial targets.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Run regional demand review process:

  • Facilitates region demand review meeting.
  • Involves Sales and Marketing teams and ensures their accountability in demand review process.
  • Influences/challenges stakeholders to validate the proposed forecasts, based on qualitative and quantitative analyses.
  • Identifies and challenges stakeholders on S&OP decisions needs.
  • Completes Local & Regional demand planning (w/ Anaplan), under a global platform including AI tools to predict future demand trends.
  • Documents demand risks and opportunities (at customer level if relevant).
  • Steers demand forecast accuracy and applies corrective action plan.
  • Reconciles forecast variance analysis with business trends and recommends progress plans to organization.
  • Maintains demand review process maturity and facilitates the progress plan.
  • Builds local competency if need.
Run regional S&OP and regional S&OE processes:
  • Leads weekly regional S&OE / Co-lead weekly global S&OE discussion.
  • Leads monthly regional S&OP / Co-lead monthly global S&OP executive meeting.
  • Reviews of demand planning outcome with the Global team for consolidation
  • Challenges business assumptions (supply, demand, inventory) which feeds the process, based on the relevant data analysis.
  • Identifies and challenges stakeholders on S&OP decisions needs.
  • Guarantees decision making.
  • Defines, recommends and aligns stakeholders on new plans (demand, supply, inventory).
  • Provides validated demand & supply plan.
  • Provides validated inventory plan (including prebuild volumes) and sales plan.
  • Identifies opportunities and risk through analysis of demand trends, supply proposals and inventory projections.
  • Proposes arbitration and what if scenarios with related facts and analysis against corporate priorities.
  • Provides operational advice and guidance to executive teams and their staffs in the different S&OP process steps and ensure their accountability.
  • Closely monitors supply issues (e.g. stock outs and bottlenecks) in collaboration with Global Supply Network planning and identify impact on demand.
  • Conducts post-mortems and lessons learned when relevant.
  • Maintains S&OP process maturity and progress plan.
  • Guarantees communication to operations.
Requirements needed

Education and experience
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in business administration and a postgraduate certificate in a supply chain management discipline preferred.
  • 10+ years of relevant working experience in supply chain, logistics, especially in S&OP
  • APICS Certification highly preferred (current certification with CPIM or CSCP).
  • Digital mindset and knowledge in emerging digital technologies (e.g. RPA, Blockchain, AI, IoT etc.) is an asset.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel is essential.
  • Fluent in English
