Job Description

This role is responsible in strengthening quality and food safety in Pasir Gudang & Xiamen site. He/She will be focusing on quality and food safety implementation in the site. Works closely with PG operations and supply chain team, procurement, legal, external stakeholders - local authorities and certification bodies

• Responsible to roll out global analytical program into Asia for both XM and PG site
• Drive improvement and capabilties building in analytical development especially in test methods development and harmonisation.
• Connect closely to global team for key projects initiatives and lead validation. Create and plan business case for Asia, if applicable prepare for early budget and deliverable to management
• Initiate new analytical development to include in F2G projects
• Analytical Talent Management
• Systems and Tools Capability - Continuous improvement for laboratory
• Leadership - lead and responsible for all global project running in Asia, include optimisation, centralisation of analysis. Review knowledge and indicate gaps to training program and improvement for team members
• External networking - Keep abreast global, region analytical development plans relevant to business; lead region , country in influencing changes in analytical capabilities and development

• Strong quality and food safety mindset
• Good understanding in analytical development and technical know how on equipment.
• Strong communication skills, able to influence and articulate ideas and thoughts
• Demonstrate leadership skills and able to engage cross funtional team
• Strong sense of business acumen, able to relate quality and food safety risks and impacts
• Able to lead continuous improvement projects in Analytical Development
• Able to provide sustainable solution driven approach
