Job Description

The Regional Molding Engineer will be responsible to guide the department on molding processes, mold validations, machine and peripheral equipment improvements. This person will need to lead and collaborate on creating working procedures in Molding areas and approve changes on document control platforms.

• Responsible for ensuring company\'s standards are followed for asset delivery.
• Global technical liaison for internal and external stakeholders
• Directs teams on Molding & Tooling best practices.
• Participate for RFQ\'s, Initiation to PQ, to product release and first runs.
• Advises on vendor selection
• Accountable for new Molding asset delivery
• Supports sites with engineering hiring
• Can lead development projects
• Escalation support for serious breakdowns including root cause & corrective action as required
• Support sites on Mold Tooling Vendor escalations
• Support sites with identifying, defining & executing Downtime, Scrap & OEE projects
• To conduct training on Scientific Injection Molding Methodologies including random audits
• Close collaboration on RFQ\'s, DFM\'s, Design Reviews, FOT, MFAT, and Mold Validations
• Identify, new technologies and applications that meets company\'s requirements
• To provide support to other sites through Q&A global process platform

• BS in engineering or related technical field
• 10+ years\' experience in an injection molding manufacturing environment, last 7 years MUST be on the Process Engineering Area of regulated industries such as Medical Devices or Automotive.
• 5+ years\' experience in collaborating with technical groups such as Automation, Tooling Eng, Process Eng, Maintenance Eng, and Tool Room Eng., on the validation and implementation of new projects.
• Proven troubleshooting, process development and process capabilities improvements on injection molding based on Scientific Injection Molding principles
• Extensive experience collaborating with Mold and Molded Components design reviews, improvements and, manufacture of injection molding components (Parts/Product)
• Familiarity with quality assurance procedures and general statistics such as CpK, PpK, DOE and its analysis on statistical software\'s such as Minitab
• Experience with or willingness to learn Solidworks software, Minitab software, SPC, FMEA, DFM, e-Dart and DOE as needed.
• Experience closely participating on Injection Molding tools design, construction stages and its implementation on production
• Strong knowledge on injection molding equipment selection including auxiliary equipment
• Strong knowledge on Injection Molding Machine controls and Injection Molding Valve gated tools and good knowledge of its Maintenance
• Strong analytical, organizational and project management skills to work with projects in different sites
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Be able to effectively communicate on English and Regional Language
• Travel requirements are from 25% to 50%, based on projects workload, and his/her ability to effectively work remotely with other sites, customers, and suppliers
• Self-starter and able to work in teams with corporate technical and strategic leaders
• Project Management Skills (Experienced on lead teams / Projects)
