Driven by You Role Overview & Primary Accountabilities: The primary purpose of this role is to contribute to the APAC Procurement and lead specific programs within Procurement purview focused on

  • Support and Lead packaging specific innovation covering competitor benchmarking process, procurement engagement in regional DtV workshops for KC mills and multifunctional engagement on ideation and execution of innovation projects
  • Drive benchmarking of materials across intercompany and competitive players in APAC for packaging materials
  • Lead Specification rationalization of packaging materials
  • Support sustainability programs in the packaging areas along with category managers
  • RFP and Event Support for APAC.
  • Drive engagements with critical suppliers to build an innovation pipeline and ensure that KC is the customer of choice of innovation ideas.
The role will require strong collaboration within the Procurement Team both regionally and globally, as well as integrating cross-functionally within the Global Supply Chain Team. Organization: People Responsibilities / Reporting Line / Partnerships
  • Reports to the APAC Regional Category Manager
  • The position requires extensive responsibility for data mining and opportunity identification/development by engagement with Markets in the region
  • The position requires extensive engagement with R&E functions in the region for ideation and execution of projects.
  • The position will program manage the delivery of regional DtV initiatives along with functional teams.
  • The role will participate & lead regional projects with a category spend of $150Mn across the APAC region under innovation and DtV programs, guiding by RCM
  • Incumbent will influence stakeholders to drive change and deliver improved business results. While also collaborating with Supply Chain Leaders, External Vendors, and adjacent business functions.
  • Responsible for executing projects with large potential impact on business results, including RFP and other support.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
  • Link with R&E and marketing teams to fully understand and develop knowledge & structure of internal customer needs on packaging
  • Drives and embeds strategic programs such as supplier collaboration, supplier continuous improvement, and access to new technology/innovation for packaging Materials
  • Support supplier summits focused on packaging innovations as well as cost transformations
  • Work with packaging country buyer teams to identify vendors as well as sources of packaging innovation from suppliers
  • Support connects with business functions and R&E to identify innovation needs and connect with suppliers to develop solutions
Essential Requirements:
  • Knowledge in and experience with Procurement processes and systems from sourcing to supplier payment
  • Understanding and experience in supply chains and innovation processes
  • Ability to effectively link with the market, suppliers and bring in ideas and enable KC to stay ahead of the market.
  • Strong leadership capability, demonstrating ability to develop and deploy strategy through detailed action plans
  • Continuous improvement experience and mindset
  • Extensive Stakeholder Management experience across diverse styles and cultures
  • Savvy business acumen, executive presence, presentation and facilitation skills
Critical Skills/ qualifications
  • Demonstrated leadership skill and experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated facilitation skills
  • Ability to lead discussions on new material innovations and engage multifunctional teams to drive execution in new materials
  • Cross-functional knowledge throughout the supply chain
  • Able to lead and manage ambiguity with autonomy
  • Ability to question and challenge assumptions; challenging existing practices to drive improvement; ability to observe existing business practice, to inform new practices, and refine
  • Consistent track record of delivering results while creating/maintaining a continuous improvement culture.
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization driving collaboration across businesses and functions
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree. Master\xe2\x80\x99s in Business Management or related field preferred.
  • ~ 4-6 years of experience in Procurement, Packaging category experience is preferred.
  • Experiences in Sourcing Strategy Development (Industry/supply Intelligence and Spend & Cost Analysis)
  • Intermediate or higher level of Negotiation skills
  • Supplier Relationship Management/ Stakeholder relationship management skills
  • Leadership skills and ability to independently/ interdependently
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Good understanding of financial metrics (i.e., Working Capital, Cost Avoidance, NSV, DPO, etc.)
  • Exposure to regional/global scope of work is beneficial
