An exciting Regional Sales Manager (Malaysia) job has become available at a world-renowned pharmaceutical company here in Malaysia. About the Regional Sales Manager (Malaysia) Role:
This role is responsible for developing the representatives\xe2\x80\x99 ability to influence customers\xe2\x80\x99 prescribing behaviours to deliver target sales and build the company\xe2\x80\x99s long-term business within the assigned territory. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, control and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team sales targets and KPI objectives by developing a team of capable, well-trained and performance-oriented sales representatives
  • Regularly review the achievement of territory sales against targets and initiate appropriate actions to ensure performance is in line with objectives
  • Develop territory business plans based on key objectives and allocate resources (e.g. coaching time, budget) for optimal sales impact
  • Ensure optimal execution of plans of action, field tactics programme and territory plans
  • Provide in-field coaching to the commercial team in order to develop their sales competencies - ability to positively influence customer\xe2\x80\x99s prescribing behaviours
  • Conduct monthly field development coaching with the sales team utilising in-field development forms as a reference source for competency development
  • Present monthly updates on business review sessions, commenting on deviations from business plans and intended actions to align performance with plans
  • Monitor the sales team\xe2\x80\x99s monthly reports to ensure relevance and implementation of intended actions
  • Distribute, communicate and ensure comprehension of key reports
  • Rapidly back-fill any team vacancies with competent new hires following company recruitment guidelines
  • Maintain contact and relationships with key accounts/customers
To succeed in this Regional Sales Manager (Malaysia) role, you will need to have at least five to seven years of sales management within a healthcare setting. Key Requirements:
  • Science or business degree is preferred
  • Pharmaceutical or related field management experience
  • Five to seven years of work experience as a sales/senior sales manager
  • Self-motivated and possesses good follow-up abilities
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills
