What you can expect/ Core tasks

• Carrying out / participating in strategic purchasing activities, primarily in the Europe region, for various categories in the area of General Goods & Services, e.g. IT Workplace, Travel, Tools & Technical Equipment
• Preparation of national and international tenders with high complexity (e.g. preparation of enquiries, obtaining offers, preparation of price comparisons, order documentation) including the implementation of award negotiations with suppliers
• Complete commercial processing of procurement processes including contract disruption or supplement management (claims)
• Active project management or leadership of cross-functional teams (e.g. Purchasing & Technology), for example, in a procurement optimization process
• Evaluation of procurement markets and suppliers in coordination with Global Sourcing Manager and the regions
• Ensuring basic security of supply, taking into account quality, time, costs and procurement regulations
• Review and coordination of ARIBA purchasing catalogs with external catalog suppliers
• Clarification of issues in the context of Evonik Travel Management as well as preparation and evaluation of regular travel reports
• Support and coordination of special tasks (DTP, TfS, etc.)
• Support in the development and implementation of strategies and organizational concepts within the team

What we expect

• Successfully completed business or technical studies (Bachelor)
• At least 3 years of professional experience in purchasing/sales
• Generalist mindset combined with high resilience
• High level of commitment and flexibility
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in interdisciplinary teams
• Business fluent German and English, both spoken and written
• Understanding of complex supply chain processes and value chains
• Strong interest in topics, developments and innovations in the field of IT and digitization desirable
• Knowledge in the procurement of intangible goods (licenses, etc.) is an advantage
• Analytical, entrepreneurial thinking and acting as well as a high level of commitment and flexibility
• Experienced handling of common IT systems in purchasing desirable
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft applications Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Good SAP knowledge, ideally in SAP purchasing systems (SAP MM, SAP Ariba)
• Basic knowledge of data warehouse applications
• Experience in the project business is an advantage
