Regional Sourcing Manager Packaging CS (Contract)

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• End-to-end responsibilities for sourcing of selected packaging categories,
• Management of interfaces within Procurement, such as Shared Service Center, external sourcing partner, colleagues in other regions
• You are responsible for the assessment of stakeholder and market requirements, market trends and capabilities of suppliers
• Extension and implementation of a holistic supplier management by integrating key stakeholder requirements
• Implementation and enhancement of strategies and sourcing approaches for packaging materials under your responsibility on a regional level
• Conduction of regular market research and requests for quotations in line with sourcing approaches to sustainably improve supplier base
• Identification and implementation of cost optimization opportunities
• Negotiation and management of contracts with suppliers on a regional level
• Securing visibility on essential regional sourcing initiatives in close alignment with stakeholders
• Evaluation and mitigation regarding security of supply and risk management

WHO YOU ARE

• University degree in science/business management or equivalent education
• Experience in procurement, ideally in packaging or related functions
• Good packaging product and market knowledge as well as understanding of business needs/challenges in this category
• Profound knowledge and experience in strategic procurement, supplier management and related procurement processes and methodologies
• Very good negotiation, communication, presentation, influencing and problem-solving skills
• Strong ability to work diplomatically with all levels of management and stakeholders
• Strong analytical decision-making skills and creative thought process ability
• Good motivational skills as well as the ability to integrate into and/or manage a virtual team
• Good intercultural and social skills, including the ability to work in a global business Environment
• Fluent in written and spoken English, German is a plus
• Open to a 2 year contract position based either in PJ, Selangor or Pasir Gudang, JB.
