Why does this job exist and why is it critical?\xe2\x80\x8bTo support Maxis lobbying of key regulatory issues e.g. USP, access, spectrum, licensing, compliance per CMA98 with Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) and Ministry.What are you accountable for?

• Act as the reference point to provide strategic advice to management on compliance, licensing and USP, as well as other regulatory matters.
• Develop position, policy and proposal papers on key regulatory issues in areas such as USP, access, consumer and content issues per CMA98.
• Develop regulatory policy papers to be used for internal discussion and for use as lobbying document with Regulator and Ministry Managing specific regulatory projects assigned, e.g. USP tender projects such as new tower (T3), internet centres etc).
• Managing regulatory and industry matters to ensure that the organisation, services and products remain in compliance with regulatory requirements [specifically on permitting, licensing, competition, access, technical, mandatory standards and USP regulations
• Engage, liaise and build relationships with Ministry of Communications (KK), Ministry of Digital (KD) and MCMC, effectively communicating Maxis position of key policy issues, as well as local authorities, state governments and relevant government agencies.
• Attend to KK, KD and MCMC activities, which includes travelling outside KL, such as USP projects progress meetings, the launch of government initiatives, site visits and surveys, program and campaigns etc.
• Involves in operational and maintenance issues, such as OM of PIs, submission of reports on a regular basis etc

What do you need to have for this role?Minimum Educational Requirements :

• Degree in Law, Economics, Accounting or Finance, with minimum of 5 years relevant experience with at least 3 years regulatory policy work within telecommunication industry.
• Prior experience in research and policy work.
• Able to write and prepare lobbying presentation deck and proposal papers.
• Prior project management experience and analytical skills are preferred.
