We are looking for a passionate Regulatory and Compliance Executive who will be responsible to provide support, advise and guidelines to Wilhelmsen Ship Management's management office with respect to state regulatory compliance for vessels trading to USA and others.

This person will be working with Wilhelmsen Ship Management, a comprehensive global maritime group providing over half of the merchant fleet with essential products and services, along with supplying crew and technical management to the largest and most complex vessels ever to sail.

The position will be located at Kuala Lumpur Sentral in the heart of Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur and it is easy to get to by public transportation. This position will report to GHSEQ Regulatory and Compliance Officer.

Main responsibilities

• Support Management Centres in procurement and upkeeps of plans and certificates for compliance of OPA 90, Federal and State Specific requirements Marpol and Panama Canal related requirements and others
• Ensure all vessels trading to USA, Canada and others are entered into necessary agreements with QI, OSRO, SMFF and Media Management and state specific marine and spill response program
• Administration / Reconciliation of annual fee payment to resources contracted as QI / OSRO / SMFF / Media Management services on behalf of customers
• Maintain GHSEQ database of vessel, plans and compliance status

Accountabilities

• Achievement of Yearly Targets for HSEQ Function's AOP (Strategic Objectives)
• Achievement of Yearly Targets set during Employee Appraisal Process
• Feedback from WSM's Organization (Internal Customer Feedback)
• 100% compliance of shipboard certification without causing vessel delays
• Timely submission of documentation to relevant authorities for approval

Qualifications

Mandatory requirements

• Appreciation of Shipping Industry, preferably with HSEQ Background
• Knowledge of Company Applications
• Good Computer Skills
• Good Communication Skills

Additional preferences

• Broad based commercial knowledge and understanding
• Experience from process development and documentation
