Job Description


The primary role of Regulatory Technologist is to work in partnership with the Kerry Regulatory Scientific Affairs team to support regulatory queries from internal and external stakeholders.

  • Responsible for supporting the execution of various Traded Goods and Raw Material requests in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Manage specification approvals for all raw materials.
  • Conducts administrative duties within defined guidelines.
  • Ensure that all raw materials comply with policies including allergen management and risk of cross contamination.
  • Highlight any errors/amend raw materials specifications being submitted by suppliers and make sure they are up to date with any relevant changes.
  • Challenge suppliers and ensure requests for information/ food safety questions are resolved/ answered promptly within the critical path timescales.
  • Check and approve relevant Raw Material specifications for legality and accuracy and ensuring correct specs enter the business and ensure raw material specifications cover the ever- changing customer and business technical requirements.
  • Support site audits to cover traceability of incoming raw materials.
  • Create and maintain various documentation such as technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
  • Coordinate and develop effective working relationships between internal (RDA, QA, Operations, Procurement & Commercial) & external stakeholders.
  • Responsible for managing and meeting individual and overall department Key Performance Indicators.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive continuous excellence initiatives.
  • Remain fully flexible to meet business requirements.

Technical Competencies
  • Computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in SAP, Optiva, Power BI and Salesforce systems an advantage.
  • Fluency in English. Fluency in another language an added advantage.
Qualifications and skills
  • Degree or local equivalence of same in Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Food Science or related discipline.
  • 0-3 years\' experience of related experience in food industry in Regulatory, Quality Assurance, Production or R&D.
  • Food industry knowledge.
  • Analytical, self-starter, decisive and able to perform under pressure and a team player; able to take instruction and perform work accordingly.
  • Possess good co-operation / communication / presentation / interpersonal and organization skills.
Other Requirements
  • Flexible / Time Management skills able to work accurately and quickly in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Have no challenge to work in European working hours. (2pm-11pm & 3pm-12am)
  • Open & able to support operation with overtime, skeletal workforce during public holidays & as and when required to ensure business continuity.
  • Good decision-making skills.
  • Proficient problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Able to work on your own initiative and pay attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Our client is a multinational firm who has a SSC in Selangor. They are looking for a Regulatory Technologist to support the Europe Region (working hours: 2pm - 11pm)
