Role Responsibilities
Strategy*
Work towards BB Portfolio achieving the overall Budgeted Financial Number. Business* Business Development

  • Actively acquire NTB to facilitate the achievement of BB growth objectives.
  • Build and expand existing client relationships through pro-active contact, account planning, and effective
pipeine management.
  • Maximize product penetration and cross selling by undertaking joint client\xe2\x80\x99s visits with the relevant
specialist to support overall cross selling activities.
Relationship Management
  • Manage a portfolio of BB customers, set and achieve P&L targets
  • Build and maintain customer relationship through regular face-to-face, in-office.
  • Develop account plans in a timely manner and swiftly follow up on identified action items.
  • Regularly update top management about portfolio\xe2\x80\x99s accounts development.

Operational Related Responsibilities
  • Partner with CDD Ops in ensuring all CDD and related policies and procedures are followed.
  • Monitor all Excess and Past Due management and related governance.

Processes*
  • Support continuous improvement of the operational efficiency and effectiveness of processes to increase
the consistency of systems and processes.
  • Support the framework for effective management of operational risks across the Business and compliance
with applicable internal policies, and external laws and regulations at a global level.
  • Support the execution of Business strategy in a safe and well-controlled manner and on an end-to-end
basis \xe2\x80\x93 incorporating infrastructure requirements and ensuring that they are fit-for-growth.
  • Follow and comply with AML CDD policies and procedures where applicable.
  • Ensure internal / external KYC requirements are adhered to.

Regulatory & Business Conduct *
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group\xe2\x80\x99s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
  • Ensure compliance to the Group Sanctions Procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to all the local regulations (i.e., Bank Negara Malaysia) guidelines and policies.

  • External: Clients

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Relevant undergraduate degree, ideally with minimum of 3 years relevant experience in Banking or Financial Services industry.
  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • Good understanding of Companies Act and basic understanding of Cash Management and Trade Working Capital (optional).
  • Able to work under broad direction but is a self-motivated individual who can demonstrate strong sense of initiative with the ability to work independently and as a team player; has technical responsibility and accountability for work performed and decisions taken.
  • Possess effective interpersonal communication, emotional intelligence, and collaboration skills.
  • Results-oriented, target driven and able to work under stress.
  • Establish sufficient experience in balancing between sales target and prioritising compliance and regulatory framework.
  • This role requires extensive travelling.
