The Financial Coconut -- Singapore's leading personal finance podcast and content platform -- is looking for a

Video Editor Intern

to help bring our stories, podcasts, and social videos to life.

You'll work closely with our content, creative, and marketing teams to edit engaging video content for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and other platforms. From podcast highlights and educational explainers to short-form reels and visual storytelling, you'll play a key role in shaping how our audience learns about money and self-development through video.

This internship is ideal for someone who's passionate about content creation, storytelling, and digital media -- and who wants hands-on experience in the fast-growing creator and finance education space.

Key Responsibilities

Video Editing:

Edit podcast episodes, short-form clips, and long-form videos for YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.

Storytelling:

Craft compelling narratives and highlight moments that capture attention and communicate financial insights clearly.

Brand Consistency:

Apply The Financial Coconut's brand style, tone, and visual identity across all video content.

Motion Graphics & Captions:

Add subtitles, graphics, transitions, and light animations to enhance engagement and accessibility.

Collaboration:

Work with producers and marketers to understand content goals, audience needs, and feedback loops.

Platform Optimisation:

Edit and format content to suit each platform's requirements (aspect ratios, duration, hooks, etc.).

What You'll Learn

How to edit for storytelling, pacing, and viewer retention. Project management and creative collaboration in a media team. Exposure to the finance and self-development landscape.

Requirements

Basic Experience:

Familiar with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar software.

Creative Eye:

Strong sense of pacing, visual storytelling, and social media trends.

Attention to Detail:

Able to maintain quality, consistency, and accuracy across multiple edits.

Learning Attitude:

Curious, self-driven, and open to feedback.

Availability:

Preferably 6-months internship but at least a minimum of 3-month internship commitment.

Bonus Points if You Have:

Motion graphics experience (After Effects, Canva animations, etc.). Experience creating content for YouTube Shorts, TikTok, or Reels. Interest in finance, business, or self-improvement topics.
