Research Assistant will assist the clinical team in various aspects of research projects, including literature review, data collection and analysis, and administrative support. He/ She should have strong research, organisational, and communication skills and be comfortable working independently and as part of a team. The position will report to Medical Director.
Duties & Responsibilities
Develop a good understanding of clinical service and understanding electronic medical record system (EMRS).
Conduct comprehensive reviews of relevant academic literature, summarising key findings.
Assist in designing and implementing research methodologies.
Collect data depending on the type of research, process and help analyse using statistical tools.
Maintain and organise databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of data.
Prepare reports, charts, and graphs to summarise findings.
Schedule and coordinate research meetings and interviews.
Prepare materials for research presentations, conferences, or publications.
Assist in writing and editing reports, research papers, and grant applications.
Communicate research progress and challenges effectively to the research team and stakeholders.
Additional duties and responsibilities maybe delegated to you from time to time.
Requirements
Minimum Bachelor's degree in relevant field ( eg. medical and social science, applied science) or equivalent post-graduate studies in research methods.
Prior research experience with data collection, data entry and basic analysis is preferred.
Proficient in using advance research and statistical software (eg. Endnote, SPSS, REDCap, R) is preferred.
Proficient in both written and spoken English
Proficient in computer skills (eg. Microsoft Office and Teams)
