Job Description

The Dormitory Resident Advisor (RA) is responsible for ensuring the safety, security, cleanliness, and overall well-being of residents. The RA acts as the primary point of contact for residents, addressing their concerns, enforcing dormitory policies, and coordinating with management and maintenance teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Resident Support & Administration

Assist residents with check-in/check-out procedures and documentation. Maintain records of room occupancy and resident details. Respond promptly to resident inquiries and concerns.

Safety & Security

Monitor dormitory premises to ensure safety and adherence to rules. Conduct regular inspections of rooms, common areas, and facilities. Report and escalate incidents, emergencies, or maintenance issues.

Maintenance & Housekeeping Coordination

Ensure dormitory cleanliness and proper functioning of facilities (e.g., fire equipment, water supply, lighting). Liaise with maintenance teams for repair works and service requests. Monitor compliance with housekeeping schedules.

Policy Enforcement & Community Engagement

Enforce dormitory rules and regulations fairly and consistently. Conduct orientation for new residents on dormitory policies. Organize and facilitate resident engagement activities where required.

Reporting & Coordination

Prepare and submit daily/weekly inspection reports to management. Coordinate with security, operations, and administrative teams for smooth dormitory operations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Minimum SPM / Secondary School education; diploma or certificate preferred. Strong communication skills in Malay and English. Basic computer literacy (MS Office, email communication). Ability to handle emergencies and resolve conflicts professionally. Flexible to work shifts, including nights or weekends if required. Previous experience in facility management, hostel supervision, or customer service is an advantage.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM2,800.00 per month
