Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate site works for Civil & Structural (C&S), and related trades to ensure compliance with local authority regulations, contract and approved drawings and project timelines. Supervise contractor execution of construction works according to approved plans and specifications. Review and approve contractor's method statements, materials, and workmanship on-site. Conduct regular site inspections to verify quality and compliance with design and safety standards. Monitor project progress and ensure contractors meet schedule milestones. Identify, document, and resolve technical issues, defects, or variations in coordination with contractors. Prepare and maintain daily site reports, progress updates, and documentation for the developer. Evaluate and certify contractor payment claims, variations, and claims for extensions of time. Coordinate activities among contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders. Attend and contribute to site meetings, briefing contractors on technical and quality requirements. Ensure all on-site work complies with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Advise project management on potential risks, delays, or quality concerns. Provide guidance and technical support to the Inspector of Works and site team.

Requirements:

Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, construction or equivalent. Minimum 5 years' experience as a Resident Engineer or similar role on developer/contractor projects. Strong knowledge of construction techniques, quality standards, and project management practices. Experience supervising contractors and monitoring compliance with developer requirements. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple stakeholders under tight timelines. Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management/reporting software. Must be site-oriented with the ability to handle on-site challenges efficiently.

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: Up to RM7,500.00 per month
