Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced and competent Resident Engineer to oversee and manage construction activities on site. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, contract requirements, safety standards, and applicable Malaysian statutory regulations. The Resident Engineer will act as the primary technical representative on site and coordinate closely with contractors, consultants, and clients to ensure timely and quality project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and monitor construction works at the project site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and contractual requirements. Oversee overall site operations and provide technical guidance to ensure construction quality and compliance with standards. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality of workmanship, safety compliance, and adherence to project specifications. Prepare, review, and submit daily site progress reports and other required technical documentation. Identify, highlight, and resolve technical issues, discrepancies, and non-conformances promptly on site. Ensure construction works comply with relevant Malaysian codes of practice, safety regulations, and statutory requirements. Monitor construction methods, materials, workmanship, and progress to ensure quality and timely completion. Review contractors' submissions, method statements, and work progress, and provide recommendations where required. Report site progress, defects, delays, and non-compliance issues to the Project Manager and relevant stakeholders. Assist in inspection, testing, commissioning, snagging, rectification works, and project handover.

Qualifications / Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification. Minimum

15 years of relevant working experience

in construction supervision and site management. Registered with

Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM)

. Registered with

CIDB Malaysia

. Able to work under pressure and meet project deadlines. Committed, responsible, and detail-oriented with strong leadership and decision-making abilities. Possesses excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills. Able to work independently and manage site operations effectively.
