Job Description

JOB PURPOSETo be directly involved in assisting and sharing the responsibility with the superiors in the general kitchen operations of the Companys Coffee House, mainly in the food preparation, and to always perform diligently to ensure high productivity and efficiency of the department.JOB SCOPETo be directly involved in the following main areas of job responsibilities:

• Work Hygiene
• House Keeping and Maintenance
• Food Preparation
• Washing

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESFood Preparation

• To assist the Cook in de-boning the chicken, meat and fish, washing, slicing and cutting the vegetables, mushrooms, etc. every morning before any order is made or as and when necessary.
• To assist the Cook in preparing the basic ingredients for the dishes, e.g. sauces, seasoning, etc. as well as the soup for lunch every morning before any order is made or as and when necessary.
• To assist the Cook in preparing of the food as well as the necessary ingredients needed for the dishes based on the order lists. For instance, to put the right quantity of food or ingredients on the trays for the Cook in order to ease their jobs.
• To assist the Cook in preparing those simple dishes, e.g. making sandwiches, frying fish,chicken, eggs, etc.
• To assist the Cook in maintaining a high standard of cooking and to ensure that good quality of food is served in order to achieve customers satisfaction.

Washing

• To wash all cooking utensils before and after using every day or as and when necessary.
• To clean and tidy up the kitchen by the end of the day to maintain its cleanliness at all times.
• To clean the dirty food dispensers by the end of the day or as and when necessary.
