Assist the Restaurant Manager in executing operational instructions and overseeing daily front-of-house (FOH) activities to achieve business objectives.
Lead by example by strictly adhering to company policies and service standards.
Remain actively present on the front line during operating hours to supervise service quality and engage with customers.
Team Leadership & Scheduling
Manage and schedule service staff, cashiers, hosts/hostesses, and cleaners to ensure adequate manpower coverage.
Monitor staff performance and support performance evaluation and improvement.
Conduct daily pre-shift briefings, including attendance checks, grooming and uniform inspections, task assignments, and operational updates.
Customer Experience & Issue Resolution
Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally and promptly.
Resolve on-site issues and unexpected situations efficiently to maintain smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Ensure a welcoming, attentive, and service-oriented dining environment at all times.
Asset & Facility Management
Oversee front-of-house assets, including facilities, equipment, utensils, and consumables.
Monitor usage, ensure proper maintenance, and arrange timely replenishment or reporting of issues.
Support basic inventory control and asset tracking for FOH operations.
Knowledge & Skill Requirements
Previous experience in restaurant operations or a supervisory role, preferably in front-of-house management.
Strong leadership and people-management skills, with the ability to guide and motivate service teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer service mindset.
Proven ability to handle customer complaints and resolve issues calmly and professionally.
Knowledge of restaurant service standards, hygiene, and safety regulations.
High sense of responsibility, professionalism, and ability to perform under pressure.
Basic understanding of FOH inventory management and asset control.
Familiarity with staff scheduling, performance evaluation, and on-the-job training.
Proficient in basic office applications and Point-of-Sale (POS) systems.
