Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Restaurant Manager to lead the operations of our fine dining Japanese Omakase restaurant. The ideal candidate will uphold the highest standards of service, ensure smooth daily operations, and deliver exceptional dining experiences that reflect the artistry and tradition of Japanese cuisine.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service flow and excellent guest experience.
Lead, train, and motivate front-of-house and back-of-house teams to deliver exceptional service.
Manage reservations, seating flow, and guest experience to maximize satisfaction.
Manage staff scheduling, attendance, grooming standards, and performance reviews.
Monitor and maintain service quality, cleanliness, and ambiance according to standard.
Collaborate closely with the Head Chef on menu presentations, Omakase experience flow, and pairing recommendations.
Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally, ensuring quick resolution and guest satisfaction.
Monitor inventory, supplies, and ordering while controlling operational costs.
Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and licensing regulations.
Support marketing and promotional activities, including special events, seasonal menus, and collaborations.
Prepare and analyse sales, service reports, and operational performance.
Prepare documentation related to payroll, staff performance, and employee movement for reporting and HR purposes.
Requirements:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in restaurant management, preferably in fine dining or Japanese cuisine.
Knowledge in Japanese dining culture, Omakase service flow, and guest handling.
Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills.
High attention to detail with a focus on guest experience and service excellence.
Fluent in English.
Proficient in basic restaurant administration, reporting, and inventory system.
Willing to work on weekends, public holidays, and irregular hours as required by operations.
Presentable, well-groomed, and able to represent the brand professionally.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
