Job Description


  • Candidate must possess at least a Certificate/ Diploma / Bachelor\'s Degree in any field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in managing retail store operations in the retail environment and management.
  • Possesses a positive work attitude and is able to perform multitasking.
  • Fluent in spoken and written in Malaysia and English
  • Good communication and time-management skills and strong discipline and work ethics
  • Able to supervise and coordinate a big number of employees such as organizing and scheduling work assignment
  • The basic skill with common computer software will be needed such as knowledge of Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Possessing own transport is an added advantage.
  • Able to work on weekends and public holidays, and take leave on weekdays
  • Willing to work at Al Aqsa Carpets, Shah Alam.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day business operations of the retail store in meeting sales targets/KPIs in line with business objectives.
  • Manage all retail staff in term of performance, discipline and teamwork.
  • Work hand-in-hand with HR department to manage and monitor leave, attendance, workings and OT schedule of all retail staff.
  • To monitor and ensure sufficient manpower for all outlets especially during the festive and promotional seasons.
  • Assist in managing the display of the product on the selling floor and ensuring all item is sufficient including restocking item.
  • Ensure prices and promotions are properly and accurately displayed and constantly updated.
  • Maintain general housekeeping to ensure a clean and safe environment for staff and customers, and at all times manage decorations during festive seasons.
  • Answering phone calls and attending to customers inquiries.
  • Guide retail staff to recommend and promote products that meet customers\' needs and objectives.
  • Liaise with other department managers to solve any issues and maintain a smooth workflow.
  • Any other daily operations duties or ad hoc assignments as assigned by the management.
