Overall responsible for supporting the senior retail specialist to plan and execute the company\'s retail showroom operations, ensuring that the showroom is regularly cleaned and maintained, with ambience being optimally set, and that the company\'s respective range of brands and associated products are featured and showcased optimally for prospective client\'s experience. In doing so, coordinate and work closely with the account management (sales), client engagement (pre-sales), marketing, product management, customer service, admin (facilities management) team members to ensure showroom is clean, in tip-top condition, and operationally ready for clients\' appointments for viewing. Also to support retail related sales activities as assigned by senior retail specialist. Detailed activities include:
\xc2\xb7 Support the senior retail specialist in coaching, guidance, and mentoring of the junior members to build and maintain an overall departmental operational effectiveness.
\xc2\xb7 Maintaining an in-depth understanding of the assigned range of product brands that the company is carrying, including the features and functions, product comparison and differentiation, pricing structure, general usage operations and applications, and installation process and warranty information, etc.
\xc2\xb7 Implement the retail showroom display and showcase configurations with assistance from customer service team on installation, marketing team on product and branding visual aid. Maintain up-to-date and ready copies of product brochures on display from marketing team, as well as cleanliness and comprehensiveness of working condition of showroom facilities with help from admin (facilities management) and customer service teams (repair and maintenance).
\xc2\xb7 Support senior retail specialist to coordinate, make logistical arrangement, and facilitate the hosting of clients\' visit to the showroom; also support sales activities related to retail accounts.
\xc2\xb7 Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for governing all retail showroom\'s operational and management activities to ensure efficient, effective, and timely operations.
Job Requirements
Position Requirements
\xc2\xb7 Experience and Education: minimum 5 years working experience with respective stints in retail mgmt., in similar industry, with at least a diploma (or equivalent) in any general business majors.
\xc2\xb7 Personality: sense of ownership, responsibility, logical thinking, and effective planning, being proactive, details-oriented, and as a team player, also being firm and persuasive, and being honest. Good telephony and email writing skills, as well as good interpersonal communication and negotiation skills, including public speaking.
\xc2\xb7 Language: proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia (oral and written); Mandarin and Cantonese (basic oral) would be an added advantage.
\xc2\xb7 Travelling: willing to make short stints (up to 1 week) of trips.
\xc2\xb7 IT Literacy: familiar with Microsoft office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and good to know SAP Business One.
