What does a Retoucher do at Hogarth?

As a Retoucher, you are responsible for supporting the Studio team by executing retouching and digital imaging needs for all advertising-related imagery. This could include background extensions, resolution corrections, color profile adjustments etc. in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• Performs all duties related to colour separation, image manipulation, and colour proofing in a multi-channel fast-paced production environment.
• Manipulation and preparation of images for catalogue, internet, retail and collateral use
• Execute colour correction, masking, texture, retouching, and overall digital imaging
• Execute image retouching as directed by the Creative Director
• Prepare images for delivery to the Studio team
• Meet all scheduled deadlines, review completed work before releasing project, and recognise the need for and request help.
• Maintain an organised image archive of all image assets

Essential Experience & Skills Required

• 2-5 years\' retouching experience in a studio environment
• Strong and polished retouching skills - must possess a keen eye for aesthetics
• Strong attention to detail, highly organised and able to manage multiple projects concurrently
• Experienced in Photoshop Colour Correction
• Understanding of printing and pre-press specifications
• Ability to complete work accurately in time-sensitive environment
• Must exhibit excellent team/collaboration skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Expert knowledge of colour theory
