Job Description

Lifting & Rigging Operations

Select, inspect, and prepare lifting gear (slings, shackles, hooks, chains, spreader bars, etc.). Secure loads and ensure correct rigging techniques according to load weight and center of gravity. Signal and guide crane operators during lifting operations using standard hand signals or radio communication. Ensure lifting plans are followed and hazards are eliminated or controlled. Assist in positioning equipment or materials at designated locations.

Safety & Compliance

Comply with Vale's Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) policies. Conduct pre-lift checks and participate in toolbox talks. Report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, or near-miss incidents immediately. Ensure rigging equipment is used only within certified load limits and properly tagged. Follow MSIA (Malaysian Safety regulations) and relevant ISO/OSHA lifting standards.

Equipment Inspection & Maintenance

Perform regular inspection of rigging gear and lifting accessories. Maintain records of rigging equipment conditions and ensure items are certified and valid. Coordinate with maintenance teams for replacements or repairs.

Communication & Coordination

Work closely with crane operators, lifting supervisors, engineers, and site personnel. Communicate effectively to ensure precision and safety during critical lifts. Support planning teams by providing input on rigging requirements.

5 working days & 2 days off

(Shifts: 7am-7pm & 7pm -7am )

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM2,150.00 - RM2,600.00 per month
