Job Summary

Responsible for performing both rigging and slinging duties, including preparing and securing loads, setting up lifting equipment, and guiding crane operators during lifting operations. Ensures all lifting activities are carried out safely and in compliance with site regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Inspect, prepare, and set up rigging gear such as slings, shackles, hooks, and lifting equipment. Attach and secure loads according to weight, shape, and lifting plan requirements. Provide accurate hand signals or radio communication to guide crane operators safely. Perform pre-lift checks and verify load stability and balance. Assist in developing safe lifting configurations based on load characteristics. Monitor lifting operations to prevent unsafe movements, collisions, or hazards. Conduct daily inspections of rigging and lifting gear; report damaged or unsafe equipment immediately. Ensure proper storage and maintenance of all lifting accessories. Follow site safety procedures, permit-to-work requirements, and lifting guidelines. Work closely with supervisors, lifting engineers, and crane operators to complete tasks safely and efficiently.

Requirements

Certified Rigger & Slinger / Signalman (CIDB, NIOSH, or equivalent). Minimum 1-2 years of experience in rigging, slinging, or lifting operations. Strong understanding of safe lifting practices, equipment, and load handling. Ability to read and understand lifting plans and load charts. Physically fit and able to work at heights or confined spaces when required. Good communication skills and attention to detail. Able to work in fast-paced and high-risk site environments.

Pay: RM2,150.00 - RM2,800.00 per month
