This role involves contributing to the development of methods that enable the robot to carefully and smoothly grasp and move objects, especially within tight or cluttered spaces. Using vision data, the focus is on ensuring the robot's movements are precise and avoid collisions. Key Responsibilities:
Design and test coordinated manipulation strategies to prevent collisions and allow smooth motion in constrained environments.
Use vision feedback to guide grasping and adjust motions in real-time.
Implement techniques to stabilize and hold objects securely during movement.
Integrate vision input with robotic control systems.
Collaborate with hardware and software teams to improve manipulation accuracy and reliability.
Document development steps and results clearly.
Requirements:
Pursuing or recently graduated in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
Interest or experience in robotic manipulation, motion planning, and control.
Proficient in Python and/or C++.
Familiar with vision-guided control and sensor integration.
Basic knowledge of collision avoidance and grasping techniques.
Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
Preferred:
Experience with ROS and robotic arm platforms.
Understanding of real-time feedback control and sensor fusion.
Exposure to 3D vision, depth sensing, or point cloud processing.
