If you are an experienced Rotating Equipment Engineer, this role could give you the chance to positively contribute towards value-adding analysis, delivery of activities, studies, troubleshooting and management of threats and opportunities by fully using your engineering knowledge in an integrated team.

WHERE YOU FIT IN

You will play a significant role in Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) by ensuring the Technology and Engineering elements for Rotating Equipment are accounted for in the various processes used to ensure safety and integrity of our asset. You will capitalize on your technical knowledge, experience, AMS processes and integration skills to enable the SMEP objectives. You will generate value and protect the asset by balancing out increased production while weighing out risks. You are always aware of the facility\xe2\x80\x99s capacity and limitations, and by contributing to the Natural Team, you enable the success of the Natural team and SMEP.

THE TEAM

You will be a member of the Technical Authority, Governance and Engineering Natural Team (NT). Your main responsibilities are around technical assurance of planned activities and Management of Change (MOCs). Team members of this group are required to have a deep knowlevdge of their disciplines as they are the gatekeepers for managing threats and opportunities from a technical do ability and risk standpoint. They also focus on longer term strategic initiative that benefit the asset in the long run. You may be required to support the Hub NT and other NT on a case-by-case basis. Delivery of these objectives are via the Asset Management System (AMS) process: Manage Threats and Opportunities (MTO) and Manage Equipment Care (MEC)

THE ROLE

The Rotating Equipment Engineer is to provide machinery technical support to the production facilities that includes pumps, gas turbines, compressors, gearboxes, fans/blowers, diesel engines etc. The Rotating Equipment Engineer also focuses on long-term objectives such as eliminating repeat failures, forecasting Capital needs, and identifying improvement opportunities.

Other key activities include:

• Development of operating procedures
• Development of and repair Procedures
• Development Turnaround work Scope
• Facilitating/supporting in causal analysis of rotating equipment failures

Leadership and Behavior:

• Strong self-leadership with the ability to function independently as well as collaborate strongly with multiple disciplines to deliver team Goals. Ability to interact with both junior staff and senior leadership. Keen to coach and guide more junior members of the team.

Internal Interfaces:

• Regular interface with peers in related teams, disciplines, and processes. Frequent interfaces with GM-2 and GM -1 leadership and occasional interface with GM and above on request.

External Interfaces

• Contribute to engagement with external stakeholders relevant to the delivery of the Natural goals. Stakeholders include but not limited to Global SMEs, JV Partners, Regulators, and customers as required.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• Demonstrated knowledge and skills infacilities engineering with an emphasis on rotating equipment experience.
• A minimum of 10 years of Rotating Equipment experience (operation support/ repair/ maintenance) in a refinery, petrochemical, industrial or upstream setting.
• Rotating Equipment Level competency in accordance with the Global Rotating Equipment Engineering Competences and Job Competence Matrix. Applicants must demonstrate competency by virtue of their current role and level or to demonstrate higher level competence if seeking progression.
• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university
