Job Description

Job Objectives R&D technicians are responsible for assisting engineers in assembling prototypes and perform experiments. Additionally, the technicians will also be in charge of keeping the R&D lab organized and help keep records of all items Roles and Responsibilities 1. provided by engineers. 2. Perform and monitor experiments based on the test plan and record the experimental outcomes. Technicians are not expected to perform analysis of the experimental results. 3. Help troubleshoot problems with mechanical components & electrical components. 4. Help keep the R&D room organized and tidy. This includes sorting, storing and keeping records of components and fasteners. 5. Provide feedback on prototype design to engineers, such as assembly issues etc. 6. Help train other technicians in production on assembly process. Requirements \xe2\x80\xa2 Minimum SPM, certificate or diploma in engineering or equivalent. \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to understand technical drawings and written work instructions (written in English). \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to lift and carry heavy loads up to 15 kg unassisted as there may be heavy components that need lifting. \xe2\x80\xa2 Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Word and Excel. \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to work independently with minimum supervision. \xe2\x80\xa2 Being organized and able to keep their workplace and their work neat and tidy. \xe2\x80\xa2 Diligent and have a sense of urgency. \xe2\x80\xa2 Attention to detail.
