Job Roles & Responsibility

To advise the employer or any person in charge of a place of work on the measures to be taken in the interests of the safety and health of the person employed in the place of work. To conduct Health and Safety training to all employees with continuous education programs and regular refresher course to ensure continuous awareness, enforcement and compliance to all safety and Health regulations, including fire and emergency drills. To inspect the place of work to determine whether any machinery, plant, equipment, substance appliance, enviroment hazards, process or any description of manual labor used in the place of work, is of such nature liable to cause bodily injury or health issues to any person working in the place of work. To investigate any accident, near miss accident, dangerous accurrence, occupational poisoning or occupational disease which have happened in the place of work. To advise, assist and drive where relevant, with the employer or safety and health committee, and be involved and engaged in associated project teams if any, to contribute actively and effectively, pursuant to regulation 11 of the occupational Safety and Health (Safety and Health Committee) Regulations 1996, in organizing and implementing occupational safety and health program at the place of work. To become secretary to the safety and health committee as specified under sub-regulation 6 (2) of the occupational Safety and Health (Safety and Health Committee) Regulation 1996 and perform all functions of a secretary as specified in that regulations. To guide, assist and drive with the safety and health committe in any inspection of the place of work for the purpose of checking the effectiveness and efficacy of any measures taken in compliance with the Act or any regulations made under the Act. To collect, analyze and maintain statistics with regular reporting to management and interested parties, on any accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning and occupational disease which have occurred at the place of work. To assist any officer in carrying out his duty under the Act or any regulations made under the Act.
Requirements :

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Health and Safety, or a related field. Familiar wituh regulatory requirements on Safety and Health management such as Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994, etc Familiar in waste water treatment plant operation and troubleshooting.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,200.00 per month
