Develop and maintain emergency response plans for building facilities
Oversee the security systems, including access control, surveillance camera, alarm systems, and security guards.
Conduct drills and arrange training on emergency procedures for employees
Coordinate with relevant stakeholders during emergencies and ensure timely resolution
Ensure compliance with local safety regulations and industry standards
Implement safety policies, procedures, and programs to meet regulatory requirements and promote a safe work environment to minimize workplace hazards
Conduct regular safety inspections and coordinate with relevant authorities for inspections and certifications
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure any facility upgrade or renovations is following safety guidelines, rules, and regulations
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and develop strategies to prevent recurrence
Provide safety briefing and awareness programs to employees, including new employee induction
Maintain safety records and documentations
Collaborate with department managers and supervisors to address safety concerns and implement corrective actions
Stay up to date with industry best practices and changes in safety regulations
Promote a safety culture by engaging employees, encouraging their participation in safety programs, and recognizing their contributions to safety
Provide monthly dashboard on safety reporting
Foreign Workers Management:
Responsible for the arrangement of transport from airport to hostel and vice versa on the arrangement of exit and repatriation
Develop and execute orientation programs for newly hired foreign workers
Monitor the well-being and working conditions of foreign workers
Responsible and take charge on to address accommodation, healthcare, and other support needs, including sourcing for rental of new accommodation, renewal of rental for accommodation, banking issue faced by foreign workers and medical support whenever is required
Administration:
To assist the HR & Admin team from time to time whenever required
Others:
Lead the OHSAS certifications and assist in ISO systems audit
Compulsory participation in the Safety Committee as part of the core member
Support the ad-hoc tasks as assigned by Management from time to time
Requirements:
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in occupational health and safety, industrial engineering, or a related field
Minimum 3 to 5 years of related working experience preferably in manufacturing industry
Experience in safety management, preferably in manufacturing industry
Experience in ISO systems audit is required
Familiarity with local, state, and federal safety regulations and codes
Professional certification in occupational health and safety is preferred
Strong understanding of hazard identification, risk assessment, and control measures
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work collaboratively with employees at all levels of the organization
Proficiency in using safety management tools
Ability to adapt to challenging priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
