Job Description

1. Inspect, supervise and monitor the compliance of subcontractors of respective project site with respect to fulfilling clients specifications in line with the requirement of the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) 1994:-

To ensure proper toll box meetings are held on a regular basis.

To ensure sub-contractors are qualified and meet statutory requirements to carry out given tasks.

To authorise/ supervise issuance of "work permits" e.g. hotworks permit for welders.

To supervise proper usage of personal protective equipment (PPE) by sub-contractors.

To supervise proper monitoring of air inside the confined space to ensure safe working environment.

To report accidents to Project Manager/ Senior Project Manager as soon as possible for further action.

To attend site safety meetings at clients site on behalf of Metronics and to convey progress to the Project Manager/ Senior Project Manager.

To assist Project Manager with contractual documents in order to meet clients terms conditions and specifications.

To submit monthly report to Project Manager on activities and any recommendations on issues related to safety and health.

To act as secretary of the OSH committee and ensure regular meetings are conducted to highlight issues on Safety and Health.

To perform any other duties assigned by superior from time to time.

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM6,500.00 per month
