Undertake duties as directed by Project Director or Project Director Representative and to provide advice and ensure the Project Safety Plan is maintained and adopt at site.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONSReporting and documentation
Produce health and safety performance report at the end of each month to the Project Director and keep track on all safety & health statistical data.
Establish and communicate site emergency plan and procedures and to carry out review and update in regular basis.
Maintain & disseminate statistical information regarding incidents near misses and injuries to all concerned.
Maintain all necessary safety & health documents as per standard process.
Ensure to provide timely & constructive feedback to project lead on competency level of safety & health performance of contractor\'s and vendors on site.
Awareness and onsite support
Undertake regular review of health and safety performance in the project and work with site team to ensure that standards are communicated and followed on site.
Develop, implement and monitor safety & health program to ensure a safe, hazard-free working environment as per the regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular health and safety inspections at site and circulate the report and recommend for improvements. Provide corrective actions for implementations and follow-up on timely closure of Inspection points.
Maintain & assist site team for development of project safety & health risk assessment (HIRARC) to establish the level of controls before work commences.
Monitor and ensure that all visitors to the project have signed the site attendance / visitors register and are always escorted unless they have been formally inducted.
Provide information, technical advice and support to construction teams on safety & health related issues
Conduct and monitor site safety & health training as required for all members on site.
Assist site team to review safety & health considerations for selection of contractors, sub-contractors, vendors and suppliers.
Review and ensure First Aid arrangements in the project.
Inspection and investigation
Maintain & monitor the inspection & test plan of all plant & equipment\'s on site.
Ensure any hazard / complain raised related to safety & health is correctly investigated, rectified and closed along with hazard recording.
Ensure that all incidents occurred on site are reported on timely manner and provide necessary support to site team on incident management.
Participate on incident investigation with recommended action plan and timely closure to prevent reoccurrence.
Compliance & others
To ensure that all latest legislation, code of practices, standards and procedures related to safety & health are communicated to all concerned.
To work closely with the designated Occupational Safety and Health Unit ( OSH HQ and SHE MA Sepang)
Facilitate possible safety & health escalations to headquarters before escalation from client and maintain client relationship.
Ensure that team discipline is maintained at site.

Minimum 3 years of working experience as Safety Health Officer with construction experience
EducationExternal
Diploma/Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or any other relevant HSE/OSH field
Certified CIDB Construction Safety & Health Officer (CSHO) and TTT is added advantage
