Monitor, supervise and manage the HSE Section to ensure full compliance to all HSE requirements as well as to local regulations.
Responsible to advice Management on Occupational Safety and Health based on legislation, lead in implementing OHSMS and monitor workplace health & safety risks and hazards.
At least 3 years of working experience in manufacturing specializing in Environmental/Health and Safety.
Candidate must be a Certified Safety Officer (Green Book).
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct daily inspection on the factory premises to ensure safe working environment and practices are in place.
To advise Management on HSE related matters, planning, facilitate & deployment training program as well as Conduct safety audits and inspections to identify workplace hazards and unsafe equipment, working practices and working conditions.
Organizing safety training and education to enhance safety awareness and safety skill for workers.
To handle & work with others Department to ensure policies/guidelines & programs are being implemented successfully, effective risk assessment, control measures, standard operating procedure, audit & inspection, updating & performance monitoring review.
To ensures correct information and data of HSE being reported on timely & well in compliance manner. Timely notifies Management of any HSE gap arise & take active role with relevant parties to keep the gap mitigated or closed timely & effectively.
Ensure Visitors, Suppliers and Employees are complying to HSE requirements
To inspect the place of work to determine whether any machinery, plant, equipment, substance, appliance or process or any description of manual labour used in the place of work, is of such nature liable to cause bodily injury to any person working in the place of work.
To collect, analyses and maintain statistics on any accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning and occupational disease which have occurred at the place of work;
To assist any Department of Occupational Safety and Health, Malaysia (DOSH), DOE and/or BOMBA officer in carrying out his duty under the Act or any regulations made under the Act; and
Ensure legal requirements of all rules and regulations such as Occupational Safety and Health Regulations (OSH) are complied.
Lead and supervise Security personnel and to ensure all Security job tasks and SOP are followed.
Ensure all Fire fighting equipment are in good condition at all time.
Familiar with ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001 standards
Investigate accidents and prepare accident reports, and liaise with related department and external health and safety authorities to identify the causes of accidents to prevent their recurrence.
Set up safety committee, emergency response teams with proper training.
Ensure all legal and inspections requirements by DOSH, DOE and BOMBA are met.
Any other tasks as assigned by the company.
