Job Description

In charge of guaranteeing adherence to occupational health and safety (OHS) regulations in the work environment, aiming to create a secure workplace in alignment with legal protocols and promote a culture of vigilance toward health and safety.

• Acts as a liaison with regulatory bodies such as the Department of Occupational Safety and Health and the Department of Environment in Malaysia.
• Heads safety, health, and environmental audits, providing guidance for compliance with the Occupational Safety & Health Act and implementing necessary action plans.
• Collaborates with local government agencies for licensing, audits, and inspections, ensuring adherence to legal requirements and staying updated on regulatory changes.
• Maintains and updates legal safety and health documents, records, and reports, ensuring timely corporate reporting and retaining essential information for future reference.
• Identifies and initiates mandatory plantwide training in line with legal mandates and company requirements.
• Assists area managers in training, incident investigation, and the implementation of safety policies to achieve the company\'s Zero-Harm vision, fostering a culture of safety and compliance.

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Safety, Environmental Science or any relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Certified as Registered Safety & Health Officer of DOSH.
• Deep understanding of related legal health and safety guidelines i.e. Occupational Safety & Health Act, BOMBA Regulations etc.
• Good understanding of OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 Management systems and knowledge of audits processes.
• Green Book from DOSH is a MUST.
