Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Compliance & Safety Management

? Ensure compliance with OSHA, FMA, DOSH (JKKP) regulations, and other statutory requirements.

? Prepare, implement, and review the company's Safety and Health Policy, procedures, and guidelines.

? Liaise with local authorities (e.g., DOSH, DOE, BOMBA) on inspections, audits, and legal matters related to safety and health.

Workplace Inspection & Risk Control

? Conduct regular workplace inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify potential hazards.

? Recommend and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.

? Monitor compliance of machine guarding, PPE usage, chemical handling, schedule waste management and other safety standards.

Training & Awareness

? Plan and conduct safety induction training for new employees, refresher training for existing staff and safety briefing for visitor.

? Organize safety campaigns, drills (fire, evacuation, chemical spill), and toolbox briefings to enhance safety awareness.

Incident Investigation & Reporting

? Investigate workplace accidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions; prepare reports and root- cause analysis.

? Maintain accurate records of incidents, corrective actions, and safety performance indicators.

Safety Committee & Documentation

? Serve as the Secretary to the Safety and Health Committee and coordinate regular meetings.

? Maintain safety documentation, permits, inspection reports, and statutory records.

Continuous Improvement

? Recommend improvements in work processes, ergonomics, and environmental controls to enhance workplace safety.

Requirements:

? Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science or related field.

? Possess a valid Green Book (Safety & Health Officer Certificate) registered with DOSH Malaysia (JKKP).

? Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience as a Safety & Health Officer in a manufacturing environment.

? Strong knowledge of local safety legislation, risk assessment, and emergency response

procedures.

? Experience with chemical handling, machinery safety, and production floor risk management preferred.

? Strong observation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

? Able to lead safety initiatives and influence behavioral safety practices.

? Good communication and reporting skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,500.00 per month

Work Location: In person
