Job Description

Job Functions:
1. Ensures contractor / contractor management company are abiding to:
1.1 Company standards,
1.2 Local regulatory requirements,
1.3 Contract requirements,
1.4 Contractor safety management plan.
2. Conducts daily safety walks with contractor and contractor management company. Identifies safety hazards, ensures corrective actions are implemented and verified, ensures casual factors are not repeated.
3. Attends weekly safety and project management meetings. Reports safety compliance status, metrics, etc. to GWS project managers and EHS Manager

Specific Tasks & Deliverables:
1. Prepares weekly construction safety report summary
2. Verifies work safety training status weekly
3. Reviews risk assessments
4. Conducts da ily site walks
5. Conducts safety walks with contractor and contractor management company. Documents agreements
6. Attends daily toolbox meetings
7. Reviews the work tasks in the contractor safety management plant he night before for the next day, to verify protocols are followed
8. Weekly safety meetings
9. Attend weekly project meeting
10. Register new premise with DOSH JKJ 101, 105 prior commissioning (PTI)
11. Coordinate with Project Manager on local EHS compliance
11.1 Determine equipment which need certificate of fitness and ensure the Certificate of fitness is obtained for UVP, hoisting equipment, etc as per DOSH requirement
11.2 Determine equipment which need approval from local authorities, e.g DOE or BOMBA
11.3 Obtain equipment and fixtures information and submit general equipment listing with electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic energy example Dock Leveler, auto store, utilities in CUB, etc to DOSH
12. Commissioning phase
12.1 Safety assessment and safety buy off for equipment and fixtures prior release for use
12.2 SL1 and/or Safety SL2 whenever is applicable
12.3 Site Incident Prevention Plan (SIPP) implementation for contractors once the Main Contractor hand over to Owner
12.4 Emergency response facilities include adequacy of first aid facilities and ERT establishment
13. EHS Training, Awareness and Competency
13.1 Ensure all users are well trained and aware of the hazards, risks and safety control measures
13.2 To coordinate with area managers or 3PL Safety Personnel, which ever that is applicable
13.2.1 EHS Control Measures to prevent incidents and compliance to local EHS legal requirement
13.2.2 Emergency Preparedness and Response

Qualification:
1. Bachelor\'s Degree in Engineering or Environmental, Occupational health & safety or comparable scientific
discipline required

EHS Certification:
1. SHO certification registration & DOSH with Green Book Holder

Experience:
1. 5-8 years of working experience in EHS field in construction, renovation activities
2. Experience in new start-up or expansion project
3. Construction and Contractors Safety experience with an injury-free mindset
4. Coordinate with Local EHS authorities for approval on PTI, PTO, permits, certificate of fitness, etc
5. Well verse with CIDB requirement

Skills:
1. Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to motivate, influence, coach and drive results
2. Ability to apply EHS standards and regulatory knowledge to business decisions
3. Ability to lead a cross-functional teams to meet EHS objectives and accident free workplace
4. Strong computer literacy skills including mastery knowledge of Microsoft suite (excel, word, power-point) skills;
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence and drive message on complex content, in front of peers
6. Strong computer literacy skills including excel, word, power point skills
