Job Description

Terengganu Silica - Principal Contractor (Mayura Solutions Sdn. Bhd.) is actively looking for the following positions:

1) Safety and Health Officer (SHO) - Must hold a valid DOSH OYK SHO registration.

Project: TRG Silica (Marang) Sdn. Bhd. Field: Construction Based: Marang, Terengganu Type: One (1) year contract, potentially to be absorbed as Terengganu Silica permanent staff.
SHO key responsibility :

1) Serve as appointed SHO for Principal Contractor in line with DOSH requirements.

2) Maintain and update the Safety and Health File (SHF).

3) Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with HSE laws and internal procedures.

4) Advise site team on legal and procedural HSE requirements.

5) Facilitate risk assessments (HIRARC/JHA) and verify effective control measures.

6) Conduct HSE inductions, toolbox meetings, and relevant safety briefings.

7) Ensure all high-risk works have valid PTWs and necessary approvals.

8) Verify machinery, lifting equipment, and PPE compliance before use.

9) Lead incident/accident investigations and submit reports to relevant authorities.

10) Coordinate emergency response plans and ensure readiness of rescue equipment.

11) Conduct internal audits and inspections; follow up on findings and corrections.

12) Ensure contractor compliance with safety specifications and site rules.

13) Liaise with consultants, authorities, and clients on HSE matters.

14) Submit weekly/monthly HSE performance reports to management.

15) Promote continuous improvement of HSE practices at site.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: From RM3,500.00 per month
