Key Responsibilities

Ensure full compliance with OSHA 1994, FMA 1967, and all relevant Malaysian safety and health regulations. Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Safety & Health policies, procedures, and SOPs. Conduct regular workplace inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions. Lead incident/accident investigations and prepare detailed reports with preventive action plans. Coordinate Safety & Health Committee (SHC) meetings, prepare minutes, and ensure timely closure of action items. Plan and conduct safety training, toolbox meetings, emergency drills, and awareness programs for employees. Ensure proper documentation, filing, and submission of DOSH-required reports. Collaborate with production, engineering, HR, and all departments to promote a safe work culture. Monitor contractor and vendor safety compliance, including permit-to-work and site safety requirements. Manage emergency response procedures, first aid readiness, and ERT team activities. Lead initiatives to reduce workplace accidents, improve risk mitigation, and enhance overall safety performance.

Job Requirements

Must possess a valid

DOSH-registered Safety & Health Officer (Green Book Holder)

. Minimum

3 years experience

in manufacturing, construction, or related industry. Strong knowledge of OSHA, FMA, EQA and other relevant local regulations. Experienced in incident investigation, risk assessment (HIRARC), and safety audits. Strong communication, reporting, and presentation skills. Ability to lead safety programs and influence stakeholders. Proactive, disciplined, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Computer literate (MS Office, safety management software is an added advantage).
