to join our team in Perlis. The Safety Promoter will be responsible for promoting, implementing, and maintaining safety standards at construction project sites. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring a safe working environment, preventing accidents, and ensuring full compliance with local safety regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and company safety policies on construction sites.
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
Monitor and enforce safety procedures for all workers, subcontractors, and visitors at the construction site.
Conduct daily toolbox talks and safety briefings to reinforce safe work practices.
Assist in the development and implementation of risk assessments, safe work procedures, and emergency response plans.
Investigate accidents and near-miss incidents; prepare reports and recommend preventive measures.
Ensure that safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) are available and used correctly.
Provide safety training to new workers and maintain accurate safety records and documentation.
Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure all safety requirements align with the project schedule.
Ensure safety signage is displayed properly and the work area remains hazard-free.
Participate in emergency response drills and ensure workers are trained in emergency procedures.
Conduct safety inductions for new employees, subcontractors, and site visitors.
Requirements:
Education:
Minimum Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
At least 3 years of experience in a safety role, preferably within the construction industry.
Certifications:
CIDB Certification (Essential)
SSS Certification (Safety Site Supervisor - Essential)
JKKP Yellow Book - Preferred
First Aid and Fire Safety training - Preferred
Skills:
Strong knowledge of construction safety standards, local safety regulations, and hazard identification.
Ability to conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and accident investigations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for training and toolbox talks.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) for documentation and reporting.
Strong leadership abilities to promote and enforce safety culture.
Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to emergencies.
Language:
Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English (written and spoken).
Other Requirements:
Willingness to relocate, travel, and work at various construction sites as required.
Proactive attitude toward maintaining a safe working environment.
Valid driver's license.

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
