Job Description

Purpose

The Safety Supervisor is responsible for ensuring daily compliance with safety and health requirements at the project site. The role focuses on monitoring site activities, conducting toolbox talks, enforcing safety rules, and assisting the Safety & Health Officer in implementing company HSE policies and statutory requirements to create a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct daily site inspections to identify unsafe acts and conditions; report findings and recommend corrective actions. Assist the Safety & Health Officer in implementing Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) policies and procedures at site. Ensure workers are equipped with and using proper PPE, and maintain PPE inventory records. Conduct and record daily toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and safety induction programs for workers and subcontractors. Liaise with site supervisors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with safety requirements. Assist in accident/incident investigations, prepare initial reports, and follow up on corrective/preventive actions. Monitor first aid facilities, firefighting equipment, and emergency preparedness at site. Ensure proper documentation of safety activities including inspection checklists, HIRARC forms, and safety meeting minutes. Support ISO and statutory compliance requirements relating to health, safety, and environment. Any other duties assigned by the Safety & Health Officer, HSE Manager, or Management. Ensure adherence to Quality, Safety, and Environmental policy regulations and guidelines.
