A safety supervisor is responsible for overseeing the safety protocols and procedures within a company or organization to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards. Their primary role is to identify and assess potential hazards and implement appropriate measures to minimize the risk of injury or illness to employees. The key responsibilities & requirement of a safety supervisor include: 1. Attend SHO (Safety Health Officer) course recognized by DOSH 2. Conducting regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and risks in the workplace. 3. Developing and implementing safety policies, procedures, and training programs for employees to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. 4. Providing guidance and support to employees on matters related to safety and health in the workplace. 5. Investigating accidents and incidents to determine the root cause and recommend corrective action. 6. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of safety-related incidents, investigations, and training activities. 7. Collaborating with other departments to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. 8. Staying up-to-date on industry standards and regulatory requirements related to workplace safety. 9. Conducting regular safety meetings with employees to discuss safety issues and identify potential hazards.
