Job Description

- Sales & Marketing



1. Solicit new and existing business to meet/exceed annual targets for golf rounds and revenue. Methods of sales may include, but are not limited to telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, sales presentations, property tours, customer meetings, travel to key markets and written correspondence.

2. Proactively upsell groups to include food & beverage, merchandise, rentals, etc.

3. Manage and evolve relationships with key wholesalers

4. Liaise with international and local tour operators to promote the venue, including but not limited to familiarizations and regular communications.

5. Develop contacts with corporations, local businesses, civic organizations and charity groups to promote the facility for tournaments, corporate events, merchandise, F&B and other golf services.

6. Responsible for supporting the day to day yield management for all golf related aspects of the property and being proactive in recommending sales programs to the sales and marketing team.

7. Be present and assist at golfer's registration for tournaments.

8. Maintains a thorough understanding of golf operations, course rotation, tournament play and tee time arrangements.

9. Help create partnerships and referral programs with area hotels, ensuring that the facilities are kept top of mind with groups and transient guests.

10. Work with the DOSM to source luxury brands in a range of industry sectors as corporate sponsors and for golf tournaments and special events at the facility. Ensure all corporate clients receive exceptional service throughout the tenure of their agreement. Liaise and work closely with DRH&H GSM on leveraging existing business partners and attracting new businesses to the program.

11. Maintains the ability to understand golf course inventory during different times of the year, allowing the facility to maximize revenues with all round types and golf groups.

12. Develops a clear and concise sales process and sales and marketing strategies to attract groups, weddings, meetings and catered events.

13. Represent the facility on appropriate site visits including golf outings, weddings, catered events and potential meetings.

14. Assist in the preparation of reports such as annual sales plan, weekly/monthly sales reports, annual goals, sales & marketing budgets and forecasts.

15. Ensure that appropriate golf staff organize and execute all events in a detailed manner.

16. Supports the DOSM in the creation of tournaments with local audiences such as Troon Cardholders, Troon Rewards members, key third-party customers, public golfers, etc.

17. Perform other duties assigned

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM3,100.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
