The Sales Lead is responsible for driving and coordinating daily sales activities, ensuring the sales team achieves assigned targets and maintains high levels of customer satisfaction. The role combines hands-on selling, team coordination, and pipeline management, particularly within the solar energy equipment sector.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Execution & Target Achievement
Lead and manage the sales team to achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Oversee the preparation of quotations, proposals, and tender submissions.
Actively engage in high-value customer negotiations and deal closures.
Monitor and guide the team's progress on KPIs such as sales volume, conversion rate, and margin.
Ensure all sales activities comply with company pricing policies and approval limits.
2. Team Leadership & Coordination
Assign leads, territories, and accounts to Sales Engineers and Executives.
Conduct daily or weekly sales meetings to track progress and resolve challenges.
Provide coaching, mentorship, and product knowledge support to the sales team.
Work closely with Sales Admin to ensure accurate and timely order processing.
Maintain discipline and motivation within the team through performance feedback and guidance.
3. Customer Relationship Management
Maintain strong relationships with key clients, EPC contractors, and distributors.
Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities across product lines.
Support customer visits, presentations, and after-sales communication.
Coordinate with Operations and Service teams to resolve customer concerns promptly.
4. Collaboration with Solutions & Product Teams
Work with the Pre-Sales Solutions team to ensure technical accuracy in proposals.
Coordinate with the Product team for pricing updates, product availability, and new releases.
Provide market and customer feedback to help improve offerings and competitiveness.
Ensure the sales team understands new product features, certifications, and value propositions.
5. Reporting & Analysis
Track and report sales performance, pipeline status, and forecasting accuracy.
Analyze customer segments and buying trends to support market strategy.
Provide competitor intelligence, pricing feedback, and market trend reports.
Maintain proper documentation in CRM systems for all accounts and activities.
Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as so instructed by the Superior/Senior Management team.

Requirements
Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or equivalent.
0-3 years' experience in solar energy or technical sales support. Fresh graduates with internship experience are encouraged to apply.
Basic knowledge of solar PV components (inverters, mounting, battery storage, controllers).
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Eagerness to learn and develop technical and sales skills.
Mandarin speaking will be added advantage.

This role offers a pathway to progress into a Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer or Sales Engineer role with deeper technical and client engagement responsibilities.
