Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Sales Support, Project Coordination, or Commercial Operations - ideally in manufacturing, engineering, or packaging.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, pricing formulas), Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with ERP systems like Sage X3, SAP, or similar is a plus.
  • Strong communication and people skills for working with teams and customers.
  • Good understanding of sales and operations, with the ability to turn sales plans into action.
  • Able to manage stakeholders across departments (sales, engineering, procurement, operations).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; willing to mentor junior staff.
  • Team player with good collaboration skills.
  • Must have own transport and be willing to work in Sungai Jawi, Penang.
Responsibilities
  • Help the Project Manager with preparing quotes, including cost models, pricing strategies, and profit analysis.
  • Support in analyzing costs to guide pricing and business decisions.
  • Provide technical support and communicate customer feedback to the Engineering team.
  • Work with Procurement to ensure smooth and timely quote submissions.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Project Teams to align pricing with business strategies.
  • Maintain good customer relationships and follow up on project status, including wins and losses.
  • Assist in setting up new projects, coordinating meetings, tests, and product shipments.
  • Act as a link between Sales, Project Management, and Operations to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Manage customer accounts and ensure high satisfaction levels.
  • Analyze customer order and shipment data to support business planning.
  • Keep customer price lists and the quotation board updated.
  • Prepare monthly reports (e.g. win rates, sales performance).
  • Represent the Project Manager in meetings when needed.
  • Train and guide junior sales support staff.
  • Suggest ways to improve team efficiency and processes.
  • Understand quality management system (QMS) requirements and documentation.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the Head of Department.
