Objectives of the Position

We as global BASF DevOps Product Team Cash & Credit Management create and support digital solutions for our internal business partners in the areas Cash Management, Treasury as well as Credit, Dispute and Collection Management. We are taking end to end accountability for solutions in these areas.4

We are looking to expand our Agile Product Team with an SAP Developer

Main Tasks

• Design, develop, and maintain custom programs using object-oriented ABAP for the SAP systems.
• Work with internal business partner and digitalization specialists to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Write code that is maintainable, efficient, and scalable.
• Perform unit testing of programs before delivery to ensure quality.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of latest SAP technologies and best practices.
• Adhere to coding standards and guidelines set by BASF.
• Proactively identify coding improvements and make recommendations to the team.
• Collaborate with other DevOps team member and internal business partner.
• Provide support to end users during UAT and post-go-live

Requirements

Education

Degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Business Informatics or in a comparable field + minimum 2 years related working experience as SAP Developer with complex SAP and Non-SAP applications.

Working Experience

Technical & Professional Knowledge (Mandatory)

• Good programming skills in ABAP Object Oriented
• Advanced SQL knowledge
• Good written and spoken English language skills

Technical & Professional Knowledge (Additional)

• Experience with SAP development on native HANA are beneficial
• Experience with JAVA, Phyton, R are beneficial
• Experience with SAP UI5 / Fiori are beneficial
• Experience with the SCRUM / KANBAN is beneficial
• Experience with agile way of working or agile implementation approach
• Strong Digital mindset to accelerate BASF Digitalization transformation journey
