SAP ABAP Programmer

s

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

Collaborate with functional and other teams to understand business requirements and translate into technical specifications and deliver solutions in accordance with Celestica\'s standards and architecture.

Responsible for analyzing, designing, developing and testing SAP reports, enhancements, interfaces, forms, workflows and conversion programs.

Perform relevant SAP configuration and testing.

Design and develop test plans for executing unit, integration, system and performance tests.

Perform production support activities (eg. break/fix, how to expertise, troubleshooting, service requests).

Work in a multi-functional team to support end to end processes across multiple SAP instances and other platforms.

Provide system training to end users.

Participate in various IT projects as required

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:

Strong customer service orientation
Good analytical, technical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
Good communication and documentation (including flow charting) skills.
Good understanding of software development life cycle concepts and practices.
Good knowledge of the business area to be supported and a good understanding of its associated business processes.
Good coding skills in specified programming languages.
Understanding of interrelations between IT components (software, OS, databases, network, servers, etc.)

Physical Demands:
Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.

Requirements:

A good Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering or related fields.

Excellent programming ability and experience of the full SDLC

Experience in ABAP Objects and Classes, ABAP Workbench, function modules, dialogue programming, performance tuning

Good knowledge of RFC, BAPI, BADI, BDC, User Exits, and enhancement framework

Exposure to EDI standards and EDI/IDOC data mapping.

Good understanding of FI, CO, MM, PP, SD and WM objects and functional areas.

In-depth knowledge of system design/development for forms, reports, interfaces, data conversions, enhancements and workflows

Exposure to system integration via EDI/ALE/IDOC/Proxy

Experience in legacy ERP migration and data migration processes (eg. upload, validation, tools: LSMW, LTMC).

SAP Functional Analyst

Provide functional support on SAP Functional modules.

Handle SAP application service, change requests & enhancements as part of application support

Support SAP Projects

Work closely with users to understand the requirements and develop solutions in accordance with organization/ client standards and architecture.

Analyze business requirements and mapping of those to SAP best practice business processes.

Configure SAP system to meet business requirements, develop functional specification, IT testing and coordinate User Acceptance Testing.

Requirements

Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.

At least 2 years of SAP hands-on configuration in any of the following SAP modules: MM/SD/FI/PP or ABAP experience are advantageous

Excellent communication and problem resolution skills

Self-motivated, resourceful, analytical and independent
