cbs Malaysia is the subsidiary of cbs, a leading international consultancy headquartered in Heidelberg, Germany. We deliver high-end quality consulting and technology services to large industrial corporations that run SAP. We are looking for a SAP Basis Senior Consultant who is passionate to grow with us in the APAC region. You will be an integral part of the Sales Team and help the local management to grow the business. You will establish and manage relationships with potential and existing clients, but also partners of cbs. To succeed, we equip you with relevant training and mentoring to develop your career in IT service sales on the fast track.
Your work at cbs

• Manage SAP users, authorizations, roles, and profiles.
• Perform performance tuning, system monitoring, and database monitoring including backup and recovery.
• Perform maintenance of multi-landscape environments through client copies, system refreshes, and transport management.
• Perform problem resolution and root cause analysis.
• Responsible for SAP database administration and OS Administration operations.
• Perform OSS administration and applying OSS Notes, patches etc.
• Manage and monitor the SAP printing Subsystem.
• Perform SAP System upgrade and support packages patch upgrades.
• Configure and Maintain SAP Security.
• Documentation for SAP Instances and interface.
• Ad-hoc duties/task as assigned by the Manager.

This is you

• Possess a recognized Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Certification in SAP BASIS.
• Minimum 5 years working experience related to SAP BASIS.
• Technical Competencies:
  • Familiar with SAP Security and Authorization concept.
  • SAP Performance Tuning and Monitoring.
  • Good knowledge on installation and configuration of SAP S/4 HANA, ECC, BW, PI/PO and NetWeaver based systems.
  • Knowledge for database such as SAP HANA, SAP ASE, MaxDB, MS SQL, Oracle, and DB2.
  • Knowledge for operating system such as Windows Server, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux etc.
  • Experience using SAP Tools such as SWPM and SUM.
  • Good knowledge of basic IT technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, Routing, VPN, Firewall).
  • Experience in working in a cross-functional team.

• Fluent in English (verbal and written)
